Metal Coat Etch primer is recommended for use on degreased metals like MS, Aluminium, G.I and SS (unpolished).
  • Very mild coat to be given after 20 minutes induction period of mixing base and the hardner.
  • Over coating to be done after 1hr and before 2hrs.
  • Apply one coat of either Metal Coat Ps Grey or Epoxy Zinc Phos Primer Grey, by spray or brush
    after selecting suitable primer.
  • Allow it to dry 8hrs and sand the surface with 320 water emery paper.
  • Apply Epoxy Putty by putty blade if required.
  • Allow it to dry overnight and sand the surface to remove excess putty and to smoothen the surface.
  • Apply second coat of Primer Surfacer of Epoxy Zinc Phos Primer.
  • Allow it to dry overnight and scuff the surface with 320 emery paper (wet cutting for metals only).
  • Apply two coats of Metal Coat Finish paint by spray after mixing with suitable thinner.
  • Between two coats allow 8hrs or overnight dry and scuff the first coat by 400 emery paper (wet cutting).
  • In case of metallic finish paints, no scuffing should be done and wet on wet clear coat to be applied
    after 15-20 min of finish paint.
  • Application of clear is a must for metallic finish paints irrespective of the surface.
  • In case of brass items, existing surface (if it is old) has to be buffed by a buffing machine or the
    surface must be cleaned with brasso thoroughly.
  • Subsequently, clean the surface with MRF thinner for finish.
  • Do not handle the object by hand and leave the finger impression, use jiggs or hooks to hold the
    object and apply one to two coats of MRF Metal Coat Glossy Clear only by spray application.
